With this triumph, Tavares reaches his fifteenth victory in his career, where he still has three defeats and a draw. After the fight, the athlete wrote a message on his Twitter thanking him for the support he received from his fans.
“Friends, I received more than 500 messages, I would like to respond to them all, but OK difficult. I want to thank everyone, the victory was for you”, he wrote on his microblog.
Tavares also highlighted that everything went as planned and that it is an honor to represent in the UFC those who are by his side and root for his success in MMA.
