Newest UFC champion, Miesha Tate was not the only one with great reasons to celebrate on Saturday night (5). An American bettor who predicted the fighter's victory over Holly holm, in the co-main fight of UFC 196, pocketed no less than US$300 with the surprising result.
Hawaii's Dave Oancea bet a whopping $77 on Tate's victory over Holm. As the favoritism in the houses belonged entirely to the champion, “Cupcake”’s victory by submission, in the last round, meant that Oancea, or “Las Vegas Dave”, as he is known, had an even more robust bank account.
"I'm very proud of you, Miesha Tate. I told you it was your turn! Now I'm waiting for your arrival. I feel like I owe her a few bottles of champagne”, celebrated the gambler, on his Twitter account.
This isn't the first time Dave has done well with UFC betting. Last year, he earned almost R$1 million with Holm's victory over Ronda Rousey.
