Canada is the third country to have hosted the most UFC events in history, behind only the United States and Brazil, and now the list of Canadian cities to have hosted a card from the largest MMA organization on the planet will also include the national capital.
The Ultimate organization announced that it will hold a card in the city of Ottawa, seat of the federal government and the fourth largest municipality in the country, on June 18th. UFC Fight Night 88 will be held at the Canadian Tire Center gym, home of the Ottawa Senators, an NHL team (North American professional hockey league).
This will be the 20th event held in Canada, which has already hosted Ultimate cards in eight other cities. Before Ottawa, the following had already hosted fight nights: Montreal (7), Toronto (4), Vancouver (3), Calgary (1), Saskatoon (1), Halifax (1), Winnipeg (1) and Quebec City (1).
