The only thing faster than the way Conor McGregor sets an audacious goal for his UFC career is the speed with which he forgets his first goal and sets off in search of another, even more ambitious and unlikely one. After getting his long-awaited title shot against Rafael dos Anjos, which ended up not being held due to an injury to the Brazilian on the eve of the duel, McGregor, who now faces Nate diaz at UFC 196, he already seems to have another goal in mind: moving up another category and challenging Robbie Lawler for the welterweight title.

s***… I don’t understand anything”, said Conor, after the open training sessions at UFC 196, in Las Vegas (USA). "I like Robbie Lawler, he has been fighting for a long time. But if I fought, I would win. I'm too fast for him. I respect him as a man, champion, he's holding the belt. But I still don't know if I'm going to fight him. It's there, I mean, why not? That’s probably my main option,” he added.

Furthermore, the Irishman also spoke about his adaptation to 77 kg, the weight at which he will face Diaz, and the chance of remaining two divisions above the one at which he holds the title. “I fear no one. If you put it in front of me, come on, I'll fight. Anyone. If you don't take risks, you won't go anywhere. If I grow, I can increase, I can make changes as I fight. I might end up moving up to welterweight. I can go up and down and have no problem. But at welterweight it's relaxing. And my speed will be there, my strength, everything will be there. I’m on two breakfasts a day,” he concluded.
