Used to cutting weight and reaching 66 kg, McGregor celebrated the fact of fighting 11 kg heavier at UFC 196, against Nate diaz. The champion stated that, with greater freedom in his diet, his body has felt more energetic in the final stretch of training.
“I'm at the right weight now. I've already had two breakfasts. I feel very good. I like to move, so it's nice when you can put food in your stomach and move around. I trained for four and a half hours non-stop and I'm still full of energy. That is great. I don't have to worry about weight, I don't have to worry about anything. Just leaving my body loose, sharp so I can dispatch that guy”, said McGregor, on the official UFC program for the fight, “UFC Embedded”.
McGregor and Diaz will take part in the main fight of UFC 196, this Saturday (5), in Las Vegas, in the United States.
