The defeat for Holly holm even messed with Ronda Rousey. After being defeated for the first time as a professional, and then with a brutal knockout, the former UFC champion went through difficult times and confessed to having even thought about killing herself. The motivation for moving forward, according to Ronda, was her boyfriend Travis Browne.

“I was literally sitting there thinking about killing myself and that 'I'm nothing and no one gives a shit about me.' But look up and I saw Travis. I looked at him, and I was like, 'I need to have your babies. I need to stay alive'”, said the blonde, during “The Elle DeGeneres Show”.

In her biography, Ronda had already revealed problems dealing with defeat in the past, such as when she won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games. The episode even prompted a comment from the Brazilian Beth Pitbull, which ended up being associated with the suicide of the blonde's father and generated great controversy before UFC 190, last year.

Ronda, whose professional MMA record is 12 wins and one loss, has not fought since losing to Holm last November. Recently, the former judoka returned to training, alongside her coach Edmond Tarverdyan, but there is still no date set for her return to the Octagon.
