The information was found by the North American website “MMA Fighting”. CM Punk had been suffering for some time with a herniated disc, and, aware that he would not recover with non-surgical treatments, decided to postpone his MMA debut.

“My back has always bothered me. I found out it's from the pro-wrestling days. It got to the point where I couldn't do anything before training last month. One day I could do it, but the next I couldn't. The last month was agony: I went to a chiropractor, had acupuncture, massage… Nothing helped. But I'm optimistic. It was just an obstacle in my path”, said CM Punk.

The news comes to light the week after the confirmation of his first opponent in the UFC. The newcomer will face Mickey gall, who won the opportunity after beating Mike Jackson in the UFC Las Vegas, last Saturday (6). The fight was supposed to take place at UFC 199, in June, but now it will have to have a new date.
