junior gypsy will be in action in the main fight of the UFC's first visit to Croatia, on April 10, in the country's capital, Zagreb. And, even though he is going through a difficult phase in his career, the former champion will have a tough time ahead: his opponent will be Ben Rothwell.
The North American giant is strong in the category, with four consecutive victories, including triumphs over respected names such as alistair overeem and Josh Barnett. These results placed him in fifth place in the official heavyweight rankings.
Cigano has come in fits and starts in his last three fights, with two defeats and a narrow victory by judges' decision. In his most recent fight, the Brazilian lost to the same Overeem, by technical knockout.
Cigano is not the only Brazilian heavyweight confirmed for the event. Gabriel Napao, who has already lost to Cigano and beaten Rothwell in the past, will face Russian Ruslan Magomedov.
