Apathetic, Feijão did not pose many dangers to Ovince St Preux, even if the opponent suffered a foot injury in the first round. The Haitian was injured in the initial blows, limping after landing a kick on the Brazilian's leg.

Even so, St. Preux almost got the knockout in the first round, when he shook and knocked Feijão down with punches. The Brazilian survived, but was unable to threaten his opponent's game.

The other two rounds had a similar outcome. St. Preux cornered Feijão on his feet and took the fight to the ground, working his strikes well from the top. The Brazilian remained harmless, and remained so until the end of the 15 minutes of activity.

It was Feijão's fourth defeat in five fights in the UFC, and the third in a row. St. Preux recovers after losing by submission to Glover Teixeira, in August last year.

PUBLICITY:

Considered “best of the rest” in the UFC flyweight category, Joseph Benavidez achieved another respectable victory in the Octagon in Las Vegas. The Team Alpha Male athlete dominated the action against Zach Makovsky and added another positive result to his record.

The three rounds followed a very similar trend. Benavidez walked forward and bet on a variation of standing strikes, mixing punches, kicks and knees. Makovsky seemed more cornered and tried to react, but was mostly betting on takedowns.

However, Makovsky was unable to stabilize his position on the ground and seemed more vulnerable to Benavidez's striking. The fight reached the end of regulation time, and Benavidez prevailed in a calm decision by the judges.

PUBLICITY:

It was Benavidez's 11th fight in the flyweight division and his ninth victory. The two defeats were precisely to Demetrious Johnson, current category champion. Makovsky lost his third fight in six UFC appearances.
