The mother of Ronda Rousey, AnnMaria de Mars, once again fired harsh criticism at her daughter's head coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, and insisted that the former UFC champion change gyms and carry out her training elsewhere.

AnnMaria, former world judo champion and who introduced Ronda to martial arts, declared that, seeing how the North American had been training, she already predicted her defeat to Holly holm, in November last year. “I had already predicted this. Ronda trained with an idiot. She trained with an idiot who is a fraud. She needs to get rid of this egomaniac and be herself. Ronda, being herself, can beat anyone on the planet. So, I'm sad, but once you become an adult, you can make decisions and make mistakes. I hope you learn from these mistakes”, said Ronda’s mother, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast.

More than that, AnnMaria criticized Tarverdyan for his personal problems, such as declared bankruptcy or loss of license to act as a cornerman. “I hope he loses his license or goes to jail because either is possible. If she changes gyms, she has a great chance of winning. If it doesn't change, well... If you do the same things with the same people, you can expect the same results”, he warned.

At UFC 193, Ronda suffered her first MMA defeat, with a second-round knockout. However, the former champion still doesn't know when she will return to compete inside the octagon.
