Marajó fails to impose himself and loses in the decision

In the second round, Rivera opened up the game more and left Iuri cornered. With pressure, the North American made the Brazilian move backwards for most of the time. In the only moment he managed to hit Jimmie, with a direct hit, Marajó was quickly taken down in the sequence and saw his chance of recovery go to waste.
In the third half, the North American, already feeling the rhythm of the fight, was unable to maintain the same intensity. However, Marajó did not take advantage of the moment and despite trying to surprise with some kicks, he ended up defeated by unanimous decision from the judges.

UFC president Dana White has never hidden his affection for the young man Sage Northcutt, just 19 years old, and who is seen as a great promise for the event. However, the leader's 'darling' was surprised by the Bryan barberena and experienced his first career defeat.
In the first round, Northcutt showed his full potential in the stand-up fight. He attacked with speed and precision, dodged attacks and showed plasticity in precise responses. But Barberena, showing a lot of courage, resisted the attacks until the end of the first round.
