The Brazilian Patricky Pitbull shone on the main card of Bellator 148, an event held on Friday night (29), in Freno, California (USA). The native of Rio Grande do Norte took no notice of Ryan Couture, son of UFC legend Randy Couture, and knocked out the North American in just over three minutes of the duel.

Looking to recover Bellator's circular cage, having lost to Derek Anderson in December, the Brazilian began exchanging blows openly from the start. Bravely, Couture accepted the Brazilian's game, but was at a disadvantage due to Patricky's counter punches. In his first moves, the native of Rio de Janeiro raised the crowd when he attempted a 'superman punch', jumping to punch his rival, but Couture defended well.
Confident in the stand-up fight, Pitbull worked with straight and cross combinations to shake the American on more than one occasion. Three minutes into the match, the Brazilian landed the blow that sealed the match.
Patricky hit Ryan with two good punches, but the North American tried to respond and went forward, but left space for the Brazilian's accurate counterattack. He landed a left cross to take his rival to the canvas, already knocked out.
With the result, Pitbull reached the 15th victory in his professional career, which also includes seven defeats.
Paul Daley wins main event
In the main fight of Bellator 148, veteran Paul Daley, a former UFC athlete, won the most in his career. The Englishman reached his 38th triumph with his specialty: the knockout: Facing Andy Uhrich, Daley needed just two minutes to land a hook on his rival and win by knockout.
