In exactly one month, Michael Bisping will have the tough task of facing the former middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the UFC octagon. Even though he was in the final stretch of preparations for the fight, the Englishman found some time to go to social media and provoke the Brazilian, especially using the doping problem “Spider” experienced in 2015.

“Jokes aside, Anderson was a great champion, but I know he will provide me with a 'tough' challenge. After all, Anderson is in trouble and hasn't been taking medication recently. I hope he can 'get up' and appear on February 27th. I’m not underestimating Anderson: I’m just hearing that he’s not that tough anymore,” Bisping wrote on his Twitter account.

The provocations make clear reference to the Brazilian's doping in his most recent fight, against Nick Diaz, in January of last year. At the time, Anderson was caught in several tests with anxiolytics and anabolic steroids, which meant that his victory was transformed into a no-contest.

At the trial of the case, Anderson declared that the anabolic steroid was detected because he had ingested a sexual stimulant in the weeks before the fight against Diaz. The product, identified by “Spider” as a blue liquid in a bottle, was reportedly brought to him by a friend, who was visiting Thailand.

Even so, the former champion received a one-year suspension. He will make his return to the UFC on February 27th in London, England.
