Demian Maia faces Matt Brown at event in Brazil

The Brazilian will try to win his fifth consecutive victory on the same card that will feature Belfort against Jacaré

Eyeing a new opportunity to compete for the UFC belt, Demian Maia there will be another tough stop ahead. The Brazilian will face Matt Brown at the event to be held in Brazil, on May 14th.

At 38 years old, Demian is on a good run in the UFC, with four wins in a row. In his last fight, he completely dominated the promising Gunnar Nelson, in December. The results placed the Brazilian in fifth place in the official welterweight rankings.

Brown, who is one position behind on the list, won his most recent fight, against Tim means. Before that, the “Imortal”, as he is known, came from two defeats, to Robbie Lawler e John hendricks (respectively, current champion and former category title holder).

The city in which the event will take place has not yet been defined. It is already known that the main fight will be between two Brazilian athletes, between Vitor belfort e Ronaldo Jacare, valid for the middleweight division.
