The revelation was made by the website “Combat Sports Law”, which stated that Tarverdyan lied on a form to obtain the license. The measure was taken by the California Athletic Commission, so Tarverdyan is temporarily banned only from valid fights at the venue – although other commissions may follow the Californian entity's decision.
Tarverdyan will meet with commission members on February 2, as he protested the decision. While the measure is valid, Tarverdyan cannot be in Ronda's corner or any other fighter's corner.
