The UFC saw another champion unseated last Sunday (17). In the main fight of UFC Fight Night 81, in Boston (USA), Dominick Cruz overcame TJ Dillashaw in a close fight to regain the bantamweight title in a split decision from the judges. The now former champion, however, considers the result to be unfair, as he feels he did enough to come away with victory.

“Dominick is a great fighter, but I think I won the fight. I had more pressure, control of the octagon and applied the best strikes. I know he got some takedowns, but I don't think they should have been that big. It's hard, it's difficult to accept. I definitely didn't have my best performance. But, still, I think I won the fight”, analyzed Dillashaw, in a press conference shortly after the fight.

Dillashaw had been bantamweight champion since May 2014, when he surprised everyone by knocking out Renan Barao, which had been undefeated for almost ten years. After that, the American defended the belt twice, against Joe Soto and again against Barão.
