The black belt Demian Maia had been without an opponent at UFC Fight 22 since he injured his retina Alan belcher. Without finding an opponent for the Brazilian to star in the main event of UFN-22, the organization moved the fight between Rousimar Toquinho e Nate marquardt from UFC-118 for the show (remember here).
With this change, Demian was waiting for a new opponent, but the expectation ended on Tuesday night. The Brazilian fighter himself published on his Twitter that he will face a compatriot in his return to the octagon.

the duel between Demian Maia and Mario Miranda is on the main card of UFC-118, an event that takes place on August 28th, while the fight between Marquardt and Toquinho will be the main attraction of UFN-22, scheduled for September 15th.
