In the early hours of Monday (18th) Brazilian time, the former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz dethroned TJ Dillashaw and regained his belt with a big victory in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 81, held in Boston (USA).
The electrifying duel was won by Cruz in a split decision by the judges and was marked by a show of movement from both athletes, who moved throughout the octagon and alternated the advantage in striking throughout the entire duel. In addition to the greater precision in his strikes, however, the sharp takedown game was the main factor for Cruz.
