Recently, UFC middleweight fighter and former US military officer Tim Kennedy made headlines inside and outside the specialized news when, without the slightest shame, calling the Islamic State terrorist group “sissies” and practically declare war on the faction that currently controls part of the territories of Syria and Iraq. Now, the fighter took to social media to announce that he has been threatened by ISIS (the acronym by which the group is known in the USA) and that the FBI has already taken part in the investigations.

“I just spoke with the FBI regarding some very credible threats made to me by the Islamic State. They were not overly enthusiastic about my response: 'Let these cowards come,'” Kennedy posted on his official Facebook profile. Facebook. “They can send whoever they want, as long as they don't want them back,” she added.

Later, the fighter gave more details about contact with the US federal investigation agency. “Apparently some of them were actually trying something, from what the FBI told me, they were planning. ‘Are you aware of this?’ they asked me. And I said yes. 'We believe this is a legitimate thing.' And so I said, 'I'm kind of insensitive about these things, so maybe you should tell me what alarm level I should have,'" he told the Army Times website.

At 36 years old, Tim Kennedy has a professional MMA record of 18 wins and five losses. Twice former Strikeforce belt challenger, having been defeated by Ronaldo Jacare e Luke Rockhold, Kennedy lost his unbeaten UFC record in his last fight, in September 2014, in a highly contested defeat to Yoel romero. Since then, the former soldier has made little bones about returning to the Octagon, especially due to the new agreement between the UFC and the sporting goods brand Reebok.
