Over the past few months, the presence of Ronda Rousey at the historic UFC 200, scheduled for next July in Las Vegas (USA), was being taken for granted, with the reunion with his tormentor Holly holm for the bantamweight title. However, Ronda's commitments in Hollywood are expected to keep her busy throughout the first half of the year and the blonde is unlikely to have her rematch with Holm at the event, as revealed by Ultimate president Dana White.

“She could do both (filming and fighting), but the question is: does she need to do both? She could do both, but why should she? Filming should end before UFC 200, but it would be very close”, said the director, in an interview with the North American website “Yahoo Sports”.
According to Dana, in fact, the time away from the octagons is more than deserved, as Ronda has remained very active over the last few years, during her reign. “Ronda has worked so hard the last three years. She has fought, promoted and built this sport. If anyone deserves some time off, it's her. That night, Holly said she would get a rematch and that Ronda deserved it. We’ll hold it if she wants to,” she assured.
The film that will keep Ronda active on the big screen, but out of action in the ring is “Matadora de Aluguel”, remake from the 80s action film “Red Man”, starring Patrick Swayze. The film, directed and scripted by Nick Cassavetes (“Alpha Dog” and “The Notebook”), does not yet have an official release date announced. Already Holly holm, Ronda's tormentor last November, will make his first title defense in March, against Miesha Tate, in the co-main fight of UFC 197.
