McGregor mocks former opponent, but gets reversed

Featherweight champion boasted of knockout over Poirier, who countered with a backhand from the Irishman to Joseph Duffy

UFC featherweight champion, Conor McGregor He does not usually spare his past victims to praise his own achievements. This time, the Irishman took to his Twitter account to recall two of his recent knockouts, but he didn't expect that he would take a turn against an old rival.

McGregor posted photos of his victories over Dustin poirier, in September 2014, and on José Aldo, in December 2015, which won him the belt in the 66 kg category. In the subtitles, the fighter bragged about what happened, saying that the work he did was only possible for a few.

Poirier then decided to respond. On Instagram, the American posted a photo of McGregor in his last defeat, to Joseph Duffy, in a fight in which he was quickly finished. Poirier also joked in the caption: “This line of work is not for everyone,” he wrote.

Poirier is coming off a victory over Duffy, in the judges' decision at UFC 195, on January 2nd. McGregor has only had victories since the defeat to his compatriot.
