UFC president Dana White had already confirmed that UFC's next fight Holly holm would be a revenge against Ronda Rousey, the date of which would still depend on the availability and recovery of the former judoka. The manager, however, may have changed his plans and is planning another challenge for the champion. According to Holm herself, her next duel will be announced by next Friday (8) and her rival may not be Ronda.

“Yes, they are going to announce my next fight (this week). I'll let them announce it. It will be soon”, said the blonde, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”. “If I fight sooner rather than later, it won't be a rematch (against Ronda), but that doesn't eliminate a rematch. They haven't announced anything exactly yet, so let's wait and see how the cards are dealt. I’m not going anywhere, I’ll be fighting here, and I hope to fight sooner rather than later,” she added.

Despite being vague in her first statement, Holm later admitted that her rival could end up being the former Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate. “This fight makes a lot of sense to people. She was in line for the title before they gave me the chance. People are curious about this fight; Before it would be a trilogy between her and Ronda, now we have a very new situation, I think a lot of people want to see it and it would be great to test myself against another fighter. A rematch would be great, but I want to continue facing whoever is in front of me,” she assured.

At 34, Holly holm has a professional record of ten wins in ten fights. The former multi-time boxing champion won the UFC women's bantamweight title last November with a knockout Ronda Rousey in Melbourne (Australia).
