Jon Jones returns to lead the UFC rankings

Former light heavyweight champion overtook Demetrious Johnson and regained the lead in the pound-for-pound list

The absence of Jon Jones at the top of the UFC's weight-for-pound rankings. After being cut from the list due to problems with the law in the first half of 2015, Jones returned to the list at the end of last year and now, in the most recent update of the list, he has regained first place – leaving behind the flyweight title holder Demetrious Johnson.

Other significant changes in the rankings involved some of the main names at UFC 195, an event held last Saturday (2), in Las Vegas (USA). After defending the welterweight title, Robbie Lawler gained a position and is now fifth on the pound-for-pound list. Already Stipe Miocic, who knocked out Andrei Arlovski In the co-main fight, he switched positions with his opponent and is second in the heavyweight division.

Even without acting, the Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos, lightweight champion, was honored by the group of journalists who choose the ranking and gained two positions in the weight-for-weight ratio. The “Kings MMA” athlete is now in sixth place, leaving his compatriots behind José Aldo e Fabricio Werdum – who are, respectively, sixth and seventh placed.
