Robert Drysdale debuts in professional MMA with victory

Absolute ADCC champion in 2007, Robert Drysdale made his debut in professional MMA on the right foot. The American, raised in Brazil, had already performed on the amateur circuit and last night made his long-awaited debut. The black belt needed just 72 seconds to submit Bastien Huveneers with a katagame and win his first professional triumph. The duel took place at Armageddon Fighting, an event held on Saturday night in Victoria, Canada and also featured former UFC fighter Kalib Starnes, who defeated Nick Hinchliffe, also in the first round.
