Normally, MMA athletes avoid giving details of the strategies for their upcoming fights and adopt a more mysterious speech. However, this is not the case for Fabricio Werdum, UFC heavyweight champion, who broke away from the norm and gave tips for his next opponent, the former belt holder Cain Velazquez.

Werdum, who will make his first title defense at UFC 196, on February 6, warned the American of Mexican descent to be careful with his dangerous jiu-jitsu, especially if the Brazilian is on top. “Just asking Cain Velazquez: Be careful with your right arm. It's my specialty. Don’t get in my guard, please, because you need to be careful with your right arm,” said Werdum, in an interview with “The MMA Hour” podcast.

Werdum, who defeated Velasquez by submission in the first clash between the two, in June, expects his rival to come back with everything, but his confidence is the result of the training he carries out with Rafael Cordeiro at the Kings MMA gym. “In the rematch, he will come very strong again. [But] I think I'm even more confident this time. He's going to do well, but I'm going to beat him again. I’m very confident in my training at Kings MMA”, he highlighted.
