The Brazilian, former UFC heavyweight champion, did not find himself in the fight against alistair overeem and lost by technical knockout in the second round.
Cigano encountered difficulties with Overeem's intense movement, who almost never allowed himself to be cornered by the Brazilian. The Dutchman looked at ease in the Octagon and didn't take many risks, at the same time bothering his rival with punches and kicks to the thighs, body and knees.
In the second round, Overeem connected with a good left punch to Cigano's chin, who fell. The Dutchman went up to settle the bill, while the Brazilian turned his back trying to get up. It was the cue the referee needed to end the fight, with Overeem winning at 4:43 of the second round.
