Ronda is the second most searched athlete on Google in 2015

Used to breaking records inside the octagon, the former champion Ronda Rousey showed that, despite no longer holding the UFC belt, she continues to be one of the most popular athletes in the sport. According to the search engine “Google”, Ronda was the second most searched athlete by internet users in 2015.

The former champion was second only to basketball player Lamar Odom, who is married to socialite Khloe Kardashian and who was hospitalized after suffering a drug overdose in a brothel last October. Restricting searches to the United States only, Ronda becomes the most searched athlete, and third overall.

Now enter Brazil, once again the domain of MMA, which has placed six athletes on the list of the ten most searched for. The leader was Anderson Silva, who at the beginning of the year returned to the octagon with victory, but was later caught in an anti-doping test for using anabolic steroids and suspended for a year. Besides him, Ronda, Bethe Correia, Vitor belfort, Holly holm e Chris Cyborg complete the representatives of mixed martial arts.
