Wanderlei defends Aldo and promises to slap 'tramp' McGregor

One of the most successful Brazilian fighters in the history of MMA, Wanderlei Silva released the verb against Conor McGregor after the Irishman's victory against José Aldo in the main attraction of UFC 194, last Saturday (12), in Las Vegas (USA).

The Brazilian veteran, former champion of the extinct PRIDE organization, did not buy McGregor's statement weeks before the fight, when he stated that “I would beat Jesus” in a hypothetical duel. “Everyone saw that it was an accident, lucky for that idiot. And when I meet this guy, based on what he said about Jesus, I'm going to slap this son of a bitch in the face, because that's not done. We don't play with our God. When we meet, raise your hand because you're going to get a slap in the face, you bastard, you bum”, Wand raged, in a video he published on his Facebook page.

Wanderlei also showed his support for Aldo, defeated by the Irishman in just 13 seconds, remembering that he himself has suffered several setbacks in his career. “I come here to leave my solidarity with our greatest champion, the José Aldo. You continue to be our great champion. I like you, I know your competence and I know that you know it too. This has already happened to me, I've been through the moment you're going through now. It hurts because the warrior hurts with defeat. I know you will get through this and you will show that you are the best fighter in the world”, he added.

Now 39 years old, Wanderlei retired from MMA with 35 wins and 12 losses.
