Michael Bisping will face Gegard Mousasi in the main fight of UFC London

The Brit was being speculated as Anderson Silva's opponent, but he will fight at home against the former Strikeforce champion

Ticket sales for UFC Fight Night London, scheduled for February 27, 2016 in the English capital, began this week and, only now, the British event received its main fight. The Ultimate organization confirmed that the home athlete Michael Bisping will face the Armenian-Dutch Gegard Mousasi in the fight that closes the card.

At 36, Michael Bisping has a professional record of 27 wins and seven losses. The “Conde”, as he is known, is coming off a victory over the Brazilian Thales leites in the first Scottish edition of Ultimate, in July this year. Champion of the third season of The Ultimate Fighter, Bisping had been speculated as a possible opponent of Anderson Silva on Spider's return to the octagon.

Yes, Gegard Mousasi, 30 years old, has a record of 37 wins, six defeats and two draws. Former DREAM and Strikeforce champion, Mousasi will face Bisping in his eighth fight in Ultimate. The Armenian-Dutch comes from a defeat to Uriah Hall last September, in a fight held in Japan.

UFC Fight Night London takes place on February 27, 2016, at the O2 Arena, in London (England). This will be the 17th time that Ultimate will hold an event in the United Kingdom, the 15th in England, of which eight, including the card headlined by Bisping and Mousasi, were held in the capital London.
