Even though he is one of the most dominant UFC champions and boasts a ten-year unbeaten run in professional MMA, José Aldo is considered an underdog in betting houses for the fight he will have against Conor McGregor, in the next month. Despite this, the Brazilian did not feel uncomfortable and assured that those who bet on his victory will take “the easiest money in their life”.
Aldo runs on the outside in all the main betting houses in the United States. “SportBet”, for example, indicates that the linear champion is at +147 – that is, the Brazilian would earn US$147 in case of victory for anyone betting US$100 on the result. McGregor is at -157: for every US$ 147 bet, his victory would yield US$ 100.
When asked about this scenario, Aldo seemed quite calm. “If you want to make some money, just bet on Aldo. You will make the easiest money in your life. I don't see any problem with that. I don't know who thinks it's a favorite or not. I don't try to look that way. I try to focus on myself. I know my attitudes, what I have to do to get there and win”, said the fighter, in an interview with the “Sensei Combate” program, on the “SporTV” channel.
The fight between Aldo and McGregor will be the main attraction of UFC 194, on December 12th, in Las Vegas (USA). On the same night, there will be another title fight: Chris Weidman face the challenger Luke Rockhold for the middleweight title.
