One of the most impressive turns in recent times in combat sports took place last weekend, but it was not in an MMA event, but in a muay thai fight at the “Lion Fight” event. After almost being knocked out three times, athlete Julio Pena managed to turn things around and ended up knocking out rival Tim Amorim with a spinning elbow.
First, Pena suffered a knockdown after a left cross. Soon after, he went to the canvas again after a straight right. Finally, he ended up going to the ropes suffering a series of low kicks. However, in an impressive turnaround, Julio took advantage of Amorim's distraction and hit him with a well-aimed spinning elbow, which put an end to the fight.
