Journalist sets date for rematch between Anderson Silva x Vitor Belfort

According to columnist Lauro Jardim, a rematch of what became known as 'The fight of the century' will take place at UFC 197, March 5

The rematch between Anderson Silva e Vitor belfort, it seems, is close to being made official by the UFC. After William Patolino, Spider's training partner, rreveal that the fight is already settled, now it was journalist Lauro Jardim’s turn to set the date for the duel.

According to the columnist for the newspaper O Globo, the fight will take place at UFC 197, scheduled for March 5th, at the HSBC Arena, in Rio de Janeiro. According to the note, the official announcement should be made by the end of the month by Ultimate.

The rematch

Anderson Silva e Vitor belfort they had a fight that made history on February 4, 2011. With the middleweight title at stake, the then champion won with a cinematic kick. The fight, which was called 'The fight of the century', was marked as responsible for the enormous popularization of MMA in Brazil.
