Holly holm may even have been the author of the knockout that dethroned Ronda Rousey, but the new UFC bantamweight belt holder doesn't want to be responsible for tarnishing her rival's legacy. In fact, Holm even came to Ronda's defense and, after classifying the criticisms made towards her opponent as exaggerated, demanded respect from the public towards the former champion.

“I think people can be very mean and when you're in the place she was in, fans will start to abandon her and I wouldn't wish that on her. I have a lot of respect for Ronda. Stop talking bad about her, because she is a legend of the sport”, said Holm, in an interview with the gossip website “TMZ”.

With the defeat to Holly holm, Ronda Rousey, in addition to the UFC bantamweight belt, also lost his unbeaten record as a professional. Now, in 13 fights, the stars have 12 wins and one loss. The one who remained unbeatable in the octagon was Holm herself, who extended her record to ten victories in ten fights – in addition, of course, to adding the title of the 61,2 kg division to her collection.
