Shine Fights, an event that would have held its third edition this Saturday, has just been cancelled. According to several international websites, the show went through legal problems when the boxing event promoter, Don King, claimed an exclusive contract with former boxer Ricardo Mayorga and demanded his removal from the card.
After the court decision, the organization announced that the fight between Ricardo Mayorga and Din Thomas had been canceled and the duel between Murilo Ninja and David Heath would become the main attraction of the night, however, hours later the Athletic Commission suspended production.
“The (North Carolina Athletic) Commission cancels Shine Fights,” Karyn Bryant, the show’s producer, said via Twitter.
With the cancellation, the six Brazilians, Murilo “Ninja”, Eduardo Pamplona, Bráulio Estima, Alexandre “Cacareco”, Luiz Azeredo and Luciano Azevedo have their clashes cancelled.
