Unhappy with the outcome of his fight at UFC Fight Night 77, in São Paulo, Abel Trujillo and his team will appeal to the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission for the duel against Gleison Tibau to have its result reviewed.

Last Saturday (7), Trujillo was quickly defeated by Tibau, 1min45s into the first round, with a rear naked choke. The point is that the fight was interrupted by decision of the referee, Keith Peterson, and Trujillo did not give up the blow, nor did he even lose consciousness due to the choke.
According to the North American website “MMA Fighting”, the gym where Trujillo trains, Blackzilians, contacted the Brazilian entity to request the necessary documentation to enter the process.
This would be the first of two steps for the fight to change its result. After receiving the documentation, CABMMA will question Peterson regarding his decision. If the referee indicates that he has made a mistake, the way for change is opened.
Changes in results after controversial moves are nothing new at UFC events in Brazil. In March, CABMMA reviewed the fight between Leandro Buscapé and Drew dober, at UFC Fight Night Rio, after the North American was declared defeated with a guillotine that wasn't even attached. At the time, the fight referee, Eduardo Herdy, admitted the error and the fight became a no-contest.
