Thiago tavares was the highlight of the UFC Fight Night 77 preliminary card, an event held this Saturday night (7) at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, in São Paulo. The Brazilian surpassed the experienced Clay guida in a lightning fight, applying the fastest submission in the entire history of the UFC featherweight category.

In less than a minute of the fight, Guida threw blows to “feint” and then dove at Thiago's legs. The Santa Catarina native then landed a fair guillotine on Guida, who desperately tried to free himself from the blow, even almost losing his shorts in the movement. However, he had no choice but to give up, which happened after just 39 seconds of combat. Thus, Thiago obtains a resounding victory on the eve of his 31st birthday.
