Nephew of UFC creator Rorion Gracie and son of Rickson Gracie, one of the greatest exponents of jiu-jitsu's most important family, the young kron gracie is another athlete confirmed on the “Rizin Fighting” card, an event led by the Japanese Nobuyuki Sakakibara, and which has been called “New PRIDE”.

On the card, scheduled for New Year's Eve in Japan, Kron will face newcomer Asen Yamamoto, just 19 years old, nephew of none other than the legendary Japanese Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto. Coincidentally, the duel could be considered a “family rematch”, as Asen’s uncle knocked out Kron’s uncle, Roley Gracie, in a fight held in 2005.
At 27, kron gracie recently migrated to MMA, after a long and successful career in the gentle art. In his only fight in mixed martial arts to date, Kron submitted South Korean Hyung Soo Kim in just over a minute, in a fight held in December last year.
“Rizin FF” already has a list of big names in martial arts, such as the legendary Russian Fedor Emelianenko and Japanese Shinya Aoki and Kazushi Sakuraba. The event will take place on December 29th and 31st, at the Saitama Super Arena, in Saitama (Japan).
