Paul Daley arrived at UFC-113 with the possibility of fighting for the welterweight belt, if he won Josh Koscheck. However, after being dominated by Kos' efficient wrestling that kept the fight on the ground for most of the time, Daley ended up losing his game at the end of the fight. After the fight ended, the Englishman attacked Koscheck and punched his opponent in the face, who was on his back.
Irritated by Paul's attitude, UFC president Dana White summarily fired the fighter:
“I don't care if he fights in other events and becomes the best pound-for-pound in the world, he's out and will never fight here again,” said Dana.
“I'll pay you and that's it. He’s gone forever”, concluded the top hat
