The days leading up to a fight are generally marked by moments of great concentration and focus for MMA athletes, but that certainly wasn't how fight week against Vitor belfort No. UFC Sao Paulo for Dan Henderson. Staying in a hotel in the capital of São Paulo together with the Ultimate team and the other fighters at the event, the veteran was certainly surprised by one of the most unusual scenes ever experienced in his long career in the sport.

This Monday (02), after deciding to go out to dinner with his coaches and cornermen, Hendo got a very unpleasant surprise when he returned to his hotel room: a drunk man was completely “blacked out” on the sofa in the room. The fighter and his companions even tried to remove the man from there, but their efforts were in vain and he remained taking a nap in the wrong room. The intruder was only removed from the room after hotel security arrived, and he must have barely realized the trouble he got himself out of.
According to the “Combate” channel website, Henderson's boxing coach, Brazilian Gustavo Pugliese, explained that the misunderstanding happened because the fighter thought the bedroom door was locking automatically and ended up leaving it open to leave. Far from his best condition, the drunk man entered the first open room he found and slept on the sofa.
Next Saturday (07), it is expected that without any further incidents, Dan Henderson faces Vitor belfort in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 77. The event will be held at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, in São Paulo (SP).
