Montanha Silva, often confused with another Brazilian giant, Giant Silva, had six fights in K1 between 2003 and 2005, with two wins and four losses. Among his former opponents are the legends Ernesto Hoost and Semmy Schilt, multiple GP champions of the event. Aoki will fight Montanha two days after facing Kazushi Sakuraba at Rizin FF, an event organized by former PRIDE president Nobuyuki Sakakibara.

However, details about how the fight between Mountain and Aoki will unfold have not yet been released. Inoki Bom Ba Ye usually features both MMA and pro-wrestling matches, which feature cinematic movements in combination.
