After the announcement of the possible cancellation of the Dream light heavyweight GP, Renato Babalu, who would be one of the stars of the tournament, was announced on the Strikeforce card. The Brazilian will measure forces against the experienced Robbie Lawler. The duel will take place on June 16th, in the United States and will be held in an intermediate category, up to 88 kilos.
Babalu comes from defeat to Gegard Mousasi at Strikeforce in June, when he lost the event's 93-kilo belt, while Lawler is coming off a victory over Melvin Manhoef in January.
