The UFC is welcoming the construction of a new gym in the city of Las Vegas, in the United States. The organization confirmed the venue for UFC 200, a historic event that will take place on July 9, 2016. But Ultimate's relationship with the arena could become even closer in the future.
According to the North American broadcaster “CBS”, the UFC intends to apply for a naming rights with the gym, that is, giving his name to the structure for a long period of time after a million-dollar financial agreement. So, if this gets off the ground, the place could be renamed “UFC Center”. The report, however, said nothing had been agreed, and that a decision could be made in the next two weeks.
Las Vegas is the main city used by the UFC to hold its events, with the MGM Grand Garden Arena and Mandalay Bay being the most visited locations. The new arena will open in the first half of 2016, and UFC 200 will be the first sporting attraction held there.
