With the right to show, José Aldo keeps WEC belt

With another show by José Aldo, WEC-48 recently ended in Sacramento, California. Defending the featherweight belt for the first time, the Nova União athlete gave no chance to  Urijah faber, dominating every round and winning by unanimous decision from the judges. Another Brazilian on the card didn't have the same luck. Rani Yaya He had a tough fight against Takeya Mizugaki, but ended up being defeated by the judges.

Trying to regain the category belt, Faber surprised everyone by accepting the Brazilian's striking game. With good movement, the American managed to balance the fight in the first round, however, what was seen in the second round onwards was absolute dominance by the man from Manaus. Aldo abused low-kicks to Faber's left leg, combining well with boxing blows. At the end of the fourth round, Urijah could no longer stay on his feet and insisted on trying to take the fight to the ground, but he was always punished from below with efficient ground and pound. At the end of the duel, an undisputed victory for José Aldo, who successfully defended the WEC under-66 kilos belt.

Ben henderson win again Donald Cerrone

In the expected rematch between Ben henderson e Donald Cerrone, the result was once again favorable to Henderson. If in the first duel between them the fight took place over three fiercely contested rounds, tonight Ben was quick on the trigger. After getting a good position in the clinch, Henderson called the “cowboy” to guard and landed a very fair guillotine choke, ending the fight in the first round.

Manny Gamburyan knocks out Mike Brown

Trying to resume his path to the WEC featherweight belt, Mike Brown was surprised by Manny Gamburyan. The Armenian showed great progress on the feet and, with a fair counter-attack cross, he took down the American Top Team athlete just over two minutes into the first round and won by knockout.
