O pro wrestling, or telecatch (as it is known in Brazil), is a mix of martial and performing arts, in which athletes perform choreographed fight scenes and, therefore, is synonymous with a “fake” duel. However, for the former UFC champion Brock Lesnar, the consequences of a match at the WWE event were quite real.
Lesnar faced the legendary Undertaker and, despite coming away with the victory, he ended up suffering a deep cut on his head and needed nine stitches on his head. WWE itself released two images of the fighter with staples in place to stop the bleeding.
The victory of Brock Lesnar brought him back to prominence in the pro wrestling, following his loss of the WWE heavyweight belt in Wrestlemania 31 for Seth Rollins. After leaving MMA with a record of five wins and three losses, the former Ultimate champion and protagonist of the historic UFC 100 returned to telecatch in 2012.
