Last week, the UFC officially announced the return of Jon Jones to competitions. The former light heavyweight champion had been out of action since April, when he was involved in a traffic accident and fled the scene without providing assistance to the victim, a pregnant woman.

Jones' return to fighting caused, in general, a positive impact among fans, as the American is considered one of the greatest, if not the greatest, fighter currently active. However, a former opponent of Jones does not welcome the former champion's presence in the fights.

Quinton Rampage Jackson, the opponent of Jones' first title defense in 2011, stated that his rival applies blows that cause permanent damage to his opponents. “Honestly, I think Jon Jones It's bad for the sport, because when he fights with us, he hurts us. He kicked my knee back…. My knee has never been the same,” he said. Rampage, in an interview with “AXS TV”, referring to the controversial blow that Jones applies to the joints of his opponents, targets of various criticisms.

However, Rampage avoided criticizing Jones for his problems outside the Octagon. “I hope he learns from his mistakes. Everyone deserves a second chance,” she said.
