Conor McGregor is about to face the biggest fight of his career in less than two months and not even that seems to be able to shake the confidence of the current interim featherweight champion. Upon learning of the cut Joseph Duffy Just three days before UFC Dublin, McGregor completely ignored the title unification against José Aldo in December and offered to replace the last athlete to beat him in the main event of the event in his home country against Dustin poirier, who was his opponent last year.

“I'm going to give this 'kid' another chance to face the king and I won't even break a sweat. I'll take this box office. She's really mine. I want at least seven zeros on the check. See you at the weigh-in (Poirier)”, wrote McGregor on his official profile on Twitter.
Furthermore, Conor didn't miss the chance to provoke the injured Duffy, by whom he was submitted in just a few seconds in a fight held in 2010. “It must be the Canadian air. It's cool as f*** here. Chins of stone are made on this side (of the world)”, said the Irishman, who continues training in Dublin, while Duffy moved to Canada and is now an athlete at Tristar Gym – the same gym as the former champion Georges St Pierre.
The crazy proposal of Conor McGregor, obviously, was not accepted and the new UFC Dublin main fight will be between flyweights Paddy Holohan and Louis Smolka. McGregor continues his preparation for the duel against José Aldo on December 12th, in Las Vegas (USA), in the main fight of UFC 194.
