Many athletes attribute their success to natural talent, dedication, hard training or support from friends and family. Already the UFC champion Ronda Rousey, MMA's biggest star today and one of the most dominant athletes in the sport, the key behind her achievements is another, and somewhat unusual: chicken wings.
Cover of “Self” magazine, Ronda said she was in love with hot wings, a North American variety of grilled wings with spicy sauce. “I eat about 50 hot wings. I love hot wings. After my last fight, one of the UFC owners brought a private chef from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro so he could make hot wings for me, because there was no hot wings in the river! This shows how important they are to me”, said the champion.
Ronda Rousey returns to the octagon on November 14th, in a football stadium with a capacity for more than 70 thousand fans in Melbourne, Australia. The champion will put her belt on the line against the undefeated challenger Holly holm in the main fight of UFC 193. Will Ronda be able to find her beloved hot wings in the land of kangaroos and koalas?
