After Ronys Torres, Rafaello Tractor and Lucio Linhares were cut from the UFC last week, Brazil lost another athlete on the show this Thursday. Black belt Fabrício “Morango” Camões, after a draw and a defeat, is no longer part of the roster of athletes at the biggest event in the world.
Morango arrived at the UFC with a streak of seven consecutive victories and in his debut in the organization he ended up losing a draw to the Japanese Caol Uno for an illegal blow at UFC-106, however, in his second appearance, against Kurt Pelegrino at UFC-111, The Brazilian started the fight well, but felt tired and ended up submitting him with a rear naked choke.
In addition to Morango, Americans Rob Emerson and Brad Blackburn were also fired by the organization.
