After crossing a red light, hitting a pregnant woman's car and fleeing without providing help – which cost him the UFC light heavyweight title -, Jon Jones was placed on probation and ordered to perform 72 hours of community service. However, the fighter is in fact using the opportunity to convey his experiences to young Americans, which has earned him praise.

Last Thursday (15), “Bones” visited Sandia Preparatory School, in Albuquerque, the city where he lives. His speech to young people there mobilized the school principal, who reported the episode to the North American website “TMZ Sports”. “Your message to my team was simply incredible. His behavior as a whole was great. These young kids, from those in eighth grade to those in high school, are the ones who really look up to him. I think they learned from the experience and were grateful for Jon's visit. I stayed,” he said.

Jones was UFC light heavyweight champion between 2011 and 2015, when he had his title stripped as a disciplinary punishment by Ultimate after the confusion. Currently, the owner of the title is Daniel Cormier, precisely the last fighter who was defeated by Jones inside the octagon, in January of this year.
