One of the biggest UFC stars in recent times, Georges St Pierre indicated that he could soon return to fighting. The Canadian, who retired from competition at the end of 2013, stated that he has been thinking more seriously about the matter, although he has practically ruled out that happening this year.

GSP had his last fight in November 2013, when he beat John hendricks in a very close fight. After that, citing a lack of motivation to continue competing, the Canadian temporarily hung up his gloves, although he never confirmed whether he would actually return to fighting or not.

Now, St. Pierre has revealed that he has been following the welterweight scene to stay up to date with what lies ahead if he does indeed return. “I'm starting to feel more and more the taste of coming back. I watch the fights to see what's happening in my category, and I'm maintaining my physical shape. It's like a knife that needs to stay sharp in case I decide to return to fighting. It’s almost certainly not going to happen in 2015, but I don’t know yet”, commented the former champion, in an interview with the Canadian website “RDS”.

St. Pierre was welterweight champion on two occasions: between 2006 and 2007 and between 2008 and 2013. During his reign, the Canadian beat names like Matt hugs, Matt Serra, Jon Fitch, Josh koscheck, Thiago Pitbull, Carlos Condit e Jake Shields.
